Waterlase
Waterlase
is the latest laser dental system designed to replace the traditional
dental drills. This HydroKinetic laser system was developed some
years ago by BioLase, a medical
laser manufacture, and Waterlase is the latest and most modern version
of this system. Doctor Haselhorst was the first dentist in Naperville
to start using a HydroKinetic laser (see
Press Release).

This laser can be used to perform all classes of cavity
preparations with no need of anesthesia. This means no needles are
required to treat normal tooth decay. For a drill to remove decay
it must be pressed against the tooth producing vibrations and heat
from friction. The pressure, heat and vibration created cause most
of the discomfort experienced by patients. The Waterlase laser does
not require being pressed on to the tooth, so this discomfort is
not experienced.
