What is the Difference Between Standard and Mini Implants?

Standard implants are larger, do not protrude from the gum, and are made up of three parts (the implant screw, abutment, and crown). Mini implants are smaller, take less time to place, and are made up of three parts (the implant screw/abutment combination and crown). Both require a soft diet until the implant has fully healed and fused to the bone – any pressure can cause either type of implant to fail, so it is important to adhere to your post-surgical instructions to increase your chances of success!

Are Standard Implants or Mini Implants Better?

The answer is different for each patient! There are pros and cons to each option, and we will work together to determine the best fit for you.
